I am motivated by the magical moment that happens between frazzled parenting and the heart-swelling perfection of a sleeping child.

No matter how tough the day has been, there is nothing quite like the feeling of looking down at your sleeping child, their angelic transformation – the silence (oh, the silence).

Bedtime stories are that bridge – a beautiful moment of connection marked by the warmth of that little body in the crook of your arm. The snuggling in. The wintering down. The focused attention.

My challenge to myself is to write stories that children and parents love to read, that fill that moment with their own magic – books that become part of a family's culture and language.
